After a very long season with the DC Express the season came to an end with a vicotry. The girls played 6 games over the weekend and came in 1st place. What a way to end the season.

Kansas City World Series 2010 DC Express Softball

KANSAS CITY 2010
We made it to Kansas City for the World Series. We were there July 7-11. The girls ended up playing 4 games. They played well, but had didn't make the top 8 to play on Sunday which was canceled due to bad weather. We really had a lot of fun hanging out with the girls and their families. Here are some of our pictures of the events, games and just fun. (be sure to hit "older posts" for more pics there are a lot)
COMPETITIONS!
The first day we were there they had several different team competitions. Journey competed in the catchers competition. It was fun but really crowded. The girls also did some singing to Lady Gaga's Just Dance.

The weather was HOT HOT HOT so when not playing we were under a tent trying to keep cool.

JUST OUR LUCK!!
2 days before our Kansas City trip for Journey's big softball tournement she cuts her right hand on a piece of glass and needs 3 stitches. Good news is the Dr. said she could still play!! We'll see how well that goes.
ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY BBQ AT GRANDPAS
4th of July followed typical Colorado weather. The kids were swimming and sweating in the afternoon and by firework time it was pouring rain and cold. We got to see about half the show before they stopped it.
